Rod Stiffener SC228 Hanger—Zinc Plated

Secures Channel to Hanger Rod for Vertical Seismic Bracing, Slight distortion of the
Channel/Strut may occur upon installation of Rod Stiffeners.

Rod Stiffeners are required only on Hanger & Trapeze assemblies that have Seismic Bracing
attached at or with 4″ (100mm) of rod.

A Minimum of 2x SC228 Rod Stiffeners must be installed.

Recommended Torque is 10.8Nm or finger tight & one full turn with a wrench.
