A spring nut is a self-locking nut with a spring that secures screws in a strut channel. It's a key component of the strut metal framing system.
How it works
- The nut has grooves on the side that fit over the strut/channel edge.
- The spring holds the nut in place during installation.
- The serrated grooves keep the nut tight against the top of the strut.
- The threaded hole attaches fittings to the strut.
Benefits
- Saves time and effort for installers
- Prevents screws from loosening due to vibration
- Allows for total freedom to adjust positioning before tightening
Where it's used strut channels, framing channels, cable management conduits and ducting systems.
Variations
- Spring nuts are available with or without the Spring (M10 only) so nut only.
- Spring nuts are available in different materials, such as galvanised, zinc plated or stainless steel.
