A spring nut is a self-locking nut with a spring that secures screws in a strut channel. It's a key component of the strut metal framing system. 
How it works
  • The nut has grooves on the side that fit over the strut/channel edge. 
  • The spring holds the nut in place during installation. 
  • The serrated grooves keep the nut tight against the top of the strut. 
  • The threaded hole attaches fittings to the strut.
