A spiral duct in-line damper is used to regulate and balance the airflow and a spiral duct.  Spiral ducts are often used in HVAC systems to move conditioned air, the in-line damper can help to ensure proper airflow and temperature levels are maintained.

Inline Dampers are adjusted manually.
